Guardians of the Holy Light and defenders of the Alliance, paladins bolster their allies with holy auras and blessing to protect their friends from harm and enhance their powers. Wearing heavy armor, they can withstand terrible blows in the thickest battles while healing their wounded allies and resurrecting the slain. In combat, they can wield massive two-handed weapons, stun their foes, destroy undead and demons, and judge their enemies with holy vengeance. Paladins are a defensive class designed to outlast their opponents.
Paladins are a cool class, however blizzard has never quite gotten the balance right. Usually over powered in all aspects. There is nothing wrong with being OP in one aspect, but they are just too strong in each group. Druids have serve different purposes and helps keep the machine going for different reasons. Pally's just do it all too well. At least their heals isn't on par with a druid or shammy for raid heals. Still though, a fun class that hopefully Blizzard will master at some point.

if it is your thing, your going to love this class.
From a game mechanics angle, this class was just too easy for me and got boring quickly. From a lore standpoint, though, I love how things are written! A draenei paladin isn't quite the same as a human paladin, with different ideas about the Light. And even though dwarves learned it from humans, they aren't quite the same, either. Sadly, I didn't stick with the class long enough to really learn much about how Blood Elves view it.
