Coming to edge of the Barrens and looking out at the spires rising out of the ground was an epic moment for me; likewise for when I came to the Shimmering Flats and looked out across the desert. Very cool zone.

Gooo Utah geography! Theres the rock spires of Bryce Canyon and the Salt Flats, which even host races just like the real thing. Oh wait I forgot, I hate Utah...

I always liked the raceway but was sad when I learned that majority of the quests in the zone were for horde. The place always appealed to me more than similar zones like Durotar or the Badlands as far as imagery goes.
