I would have voted it Artifact if it weren't for the lag. |

"In short, it's the moonglade of cities."
Well, they were built by the same people.
I'm not exactly a fan of Night Elf architecture. It always seems like they let little kids design treehouses and just sent an adult around with a hammer to make sure they'd be sturdy. |

Keep in mind that I can be all in favor of a character's place in the lore and still hate the character... good stories need awesome villians as well as heroes. But honestly, while those things are true about Varian Wrynn, Thrall went through rather similar circumstances that were also not his fault. I can't help but feel like listing the things Wrynn has gone through is just supporting the case for thinking Thrall is better. |

My husband and I were at the Argent Tournament grounds a few nights ago when Thrall arrived with Garrosh. My husband and I quickly lit basic campfires next to him when they stopped to talk. |

I honestly believed Grom Hellscream was a "bad guy" at one time. My husband just chuckled and told me to read more lore. He's become one of my favorite characters, and there's a little of him in every real person who fights their own personal demons and conquers addiction. The cinematic of his defeat of Mannoroth and death makes me cry. May the Warsong never fade! |

Gul'dan is the creepiest character I've come across! I've been able to see how every other "bad guy" in the lore was twisted into being evil... usually by having the thing they loved most exploited to turn them that way. It doesn't excuse them, but I can be sympathetic to them in some ways. But Gul'dan? He's the one character that, as far as I've seen, just seems to have always been evil. Pure.Freakin'.Evil. |

When I took the orphan Orc from Children's Week to meet Cairne Bloodhoof, that was when I knew I had to change characters and play a Tauren. If he dies in Cataclysm, I will weep for all the orphans who never got his hoofprint. |

Alamo FTW!
I started my druid with no more knowledge about the class than what I read in "Alamo teechs u 2 play DURID!" and "Alamo teechs u 2 Burnin Croosaid!"
We need a druid sub-topic for Alamo... |

From a game mechanics angle, this class was just too easy for me and got boring quickly. From a lore standpoint, though, I love how things are written! A draenei paladin isn't quite the same as a human paladin, with different ideas about the Light. And even though dwarves learned it from humans, they aren't quite the same, either. Sadly, I didn't stick with the class long enough to really learn much about how Blood Elves view it. |

I spent a great four days fishing up coins in Dalaran! I was mid-30's and getting Grand Master Fishing while standing next to 80's getting Journeyman. I understand the reasoning behind that... but it made me feel somewhat equal to them in a way for a little while. Sadly, it also caused a Trade Chat addiction. I start having withdrawls if I stay out of a city for too long. |

A human paladin pulled Anachronos from the Caverns of Time into Orgrimmar. I followed him from the Shimmering Flats into Orgrimmar... and, yes, I did give people a heads up when he was moving through the Barrens, but nobody knew what I was talking about so I'm not sure they believed me until it was too late. When I looked at the screenshot later, I noticed I'd taken it while someone was yelling, "OMG DRAGONZZ!!!" Not that it did any good for people to try killing the dragon... Anachronos despawns at 20% health. The pally died fast, though. |

I love those kids! Especially the orc... the same kid who asks, "If a turtle loses his shell, is he naked or homeless?" also says, "I have a rock in my nose." That's like having a conversation with a real kid.
I can't wait until this comes around again so I can get Speedy for my current toons. I don't play the character I got him on before anymore, and I really miss that turtle. |

Howling Fjord will always hold a special place in my heart because I had no business being there the first time I went. Before Mr. Chilly was added, I wanted to get a Pengu for my husband and neither of us knew you needed a certain rep to buy it. We were both mid-to-high 40's level, Tauren druid (me) and Tauren warrior (him). Once we got to Vengence Landing, we ran through the worgs on our kodos. Got stuck waiting for the lift, and husband's warrior died. I rez'd him just as the lift returned. Then we just kept moving down the road, being chased by shoveltusks all the way! One almost caught us, but we got to the Ancient Lift just in time! Didn't get the penguin (obviously), but we enjoyed riding the giant turtles, doing some fishing, and meeting the Tuskarr. |

This joins Howling Fjord on the list of places I love because of the rush of going there too early. Last night was a trip for my level 17 mage and husband's level 17 paladin to get Hallow's End candy. We may not have made it, but a very kind druid stopped to buff us, heal the paladin when needed, and followed us the rest of the way to our candy bucket destination. Higher level zones are very exciting when you're 40 levels too low for them! |
