I have never played arenas, so I am leaving no score. I am surprised to see, however, how consistently low marks have been awarded to each and every arena in the game. |

Personally, I liked AV much more back in the old days, when the battles would go for days at an end... It really felt grand and epic. After the changes to the battleground, it turned into total zergfest with two sides often completely ignoring each others' presence in a mad rush to the finish.
I still participate from time to time, but it lost most of its appeal. |

This is probably the most well-balanced battleground. The gameplay is dynamic, the co-operation and communication is necessary, traveling times between points of interest - just the right length. It never drags for too long and throughout the game you really get the sense of competition. |

Somehow I never could get into this one. Something just never felt right about it. Being a patchwork of WSG and AB, I feel like this battleground never really got its own identity. |

The only battleground at the moment, that truly feels epic. I wish the game maintained the old system of battlegrounds having their own reputation and vendors. I would not mind grinding my way to exalted in this one. |

I am surprised Blizzard did not anticipate Silvermoon and Exodar becoming ghost towns they are at the moment. While the city is absolutely gorgeous, there is just no incentive for the players to come there. Perhaps a simple direct portal to Dalaran could make it a destination of choice for the Horde players. |

Five years playing the game and I still usually make a full circle around the central area before I find the bat handler!
When you consider though, that this is a feature, not a bug... well I can't.
The echoes of the conversation between Arthas and his father in the entrance hall are a great touch. |

I came to WoW without any previous MMO background. I decided to try it (in beta) mainly because of my love for the Warcraft RTS franchise. Orc Warrior was as classic of a combo as one could think of. He is still my main, and to be honest only character I bother to play.
The only thing I could wish for is to do just a bit more dps in arms... but maybe it's just my gear. |

Ah, remember the good old times when "tank" pretty much equaled a protection warrior?
Those were the days...
Now I mostly play DPS as Arms warrior, simply because there are way too many tanks of all kinds in my guild and I generally avoid PUGs like disease. |

Alchemy misses some "cool". Something fun, weird and a bit silly like most of the Engineering creations. Maybe a potion or two that transforms players into different creatures? Maybe a small small chance of things going wrong during the elixir making? I don't really know.

Playing on Normal servers always felt to me as exciting as playing FPS games with /godmode on. Yes, you do level faster but the excitement and suspense is gone.
Playing on PvP sever can be challenging, frustrating and often times tedious, but hell, this is the game about a conflict between two factions, where danger lurks behind every corner. |

While the zone falls short when compared to the Fjord as a starting area, it still provides quite a good introduction to the Northrend for the newcomers. It may be not great as a whole, but contains a number of little fun things that just make it worth your while.
I love the P.E.T.A. spoof, and the entire murloc questline. The cute little baby murlocs quest is just priceless. For that quest itself, I am giving the zone an Artifact rating. |

Can't love this zone, can't hate it. It is a good one, but by no means great.

While some people seem to like it, I wish someone would develop the addon that would automatically mute the music in the Fjord and Grizzly Hills.
It's like listening to bagpipe marching band.
Once muted though, it is a fantastic zone with a lot of variety, many different quest lines and of course the turkey slaughter achievement! |

Probably the best use of phasing technology in the game so far. The ability to dynamically change the look of the zone as one progresses through the main quest lines is fantastic. Flight points are a nice reward and incentive to do so.
Once all the quests are completed, the amount of daily quests (especially if you include the Tournament Grounds) makes it my favorite destination for a daily influx of gold (25x15g=375g, and that's not counting all the stuff you will end up selling to the vendor).
My only beef with this zone is perhaps the fact that so many high level mobs and elites are placed there seemingly for aesthetic purposes only, giving players no reason to engage them. |

The music feels like something from a Pop-Cap game, the trees make my framerate drop when run on the highest settings that even Dalaran accepts otherwise.
The rivalry between the Oracles and Frenzyheart makes for an interesting place to quest, but the dailies get tiresome quickly.
And this may be a personal thing, but I can't freaking stand Nesingway. |

Since i never had the pleasure of pushing an alt all the way from 1-80, I was not forced to re-visit this zone, thus my impressions are purely based on the first time I've seen it.
After years of playing on the old continent, crossing the Dark Portal, seeing the crazy landscape and the battle happening right in front of me was an unforgettable experience. And that's how I like to remember Hellfire. |

Typically computer graphics (especially WoW's lo-fi flavor) don't impress me when trying to imitate nature. In my opinion, Nagrad is on of the weakest zones in Outland. I lean much more towards a completely "outlandish" (pardon the bad pun) zones like Blade's Edge or Netherstorm. |

Great concept for the zone, interesting quests, lots of instances.
While majority of the zone is bland and dark, it features numbers of very interesting hot-spots such as eco domes, the field of giants, mana forges - making traveling and questing around a generally pleasant experience. |

While the art style of this zone is fantastic, it does get tiresome, especially considering how much time one has to spend there in order to complete all the quests. Giving it 3/5, simply because I am torn: on one hand I hated the experience, on the other I cannot deny that it looks amazing. |
