The best thing about Exodar is that taking the portal there doesn't dismount you, and it drops you off very near the AH and bank. It's where I almost always go to take care of those things, as long as my hearth is up. |

I can't believe it took so long, but the novelty is finally wearing off and many of my guildies are going back to their old mains.
My DK is 61, and will stay there for a good while. I'd delete her if I hadn't worked so hard to get her jewelcrafting up.
I don't have anything against the class, except when I'm in the 50-59 PvP bracket, but it's just not my cup of tea. |

Druids are the most versatile class in the game. I conceived of mine as a caster, and levelled balance wearing cloth. Recently I figured I was never going to get my pally up, and my guild needed more tanks. A few rep, crafted, and BoE items (and some enchants, dropping my dual tree spec, etc) later I was "defence capped" (uncrittable through talents) and tanking regular ToC-5 with few problems. I must be the only tank around with tailoring as a profession. |

I never played kitty, but recently picked up a feral tank spec. I love gaining my crit immunity from talents, even though if I were a raider it'd mean competing with the DPS for gear. I've heard many people complain that it's boring, but I like that I really only have five or six different abilities to keep track of. It took some of the fear out of my early tanking, knowing that I really only had a few buttons to push and some combination would keep the things hitting me and keep me alive. |

I dual specced from balance to resto, and it was a shock to someone used to healing on a shaman. I did finally get somewhat used to it, enough to heal easier heroics like HoL, but it never felt quite right to me. I'm probably just used to being kinda OP as a healer.
I recently dropped my tree spec to become a feral tank, and I hadn't realised how geared I'd gotten. It hurt putting those nice items in my bank to gather dust, and to give up on something before I'd mastered it, even though it meant moving on to completely new experiences and challenges. |

Currently level 68, and my new dual spec from ret to prot has enabled me to duo most of the Outland group quests with a rogue friend, and I've even made it through a proper instance.
It feels like I imagine tanking should (a bit different from my bear tank), but I have problems keeping up my "blue rage", probably because I don't yet have enough avoidance to proc BoS, and have had to go double light when there's no healer instead of judging wisdom. |

Even though I'm playing my pally and rogue more these days, my shammy will always be my main. I love the totem mechanic, and the strategy of using the right totems at the right time (situational ones, like tremor and nature resist). The class has a lot of unique abilities that set it apart.
I was crazy and levelled resto, picked up elemental when dual specs came out, and now I have another, enhancement, on the backburner. I like healing, and I love buffing and supporting, and doing both as a shaman feels great. |

In my experience, alchemy is the easiest production profession to level. You can generally level by making things that are useful to you, unlike, say, re-enchanting the same bracer for skill-ups. At higher levels, transmutes are also very handy: creating titanium, epic gems, and converting eternals into more useful eternals.
With the professions balanced to provide roughly equal benefits, I think most of my future alts will be choosing alchemy. |

With the professions balanced to provide roughly equal benefits, blacksmithing hardly seems worth the soul-crushing amount of metal it takes to level. My pally is stuck at 240, and I've given up on it for the time being to focus on levelling over farming. I'll probably end up buying tonnes of the metal I need, but in the end I'll stick with it because of the work I already have invested, and my character taking pride in their chosen profession. |

I love skinning as a gathering profession, because it doesn't feel like work, you're killing things and getting loot like meat for your cooking too. You rarely have to look too far for something to skin, unlike combing the map for mining and herbing.
It can also be a very good feeling to skin something after a hard fought battle with it. |
