There is some nifty eye-candy in Dal, and it has a pretty good layout. The real drawback is the size of the city itself. It didn't occur to Blizz that Wrath has a larger player base than either BC or classic WoW, and yet they designed a new capital that is a fraction of the size of any previous city they've made. Cramped quarters compared to its BC counterpart, Shattrath. Small wonder why there are so many lag problems. |

I remember the "good 'ol days" when everyone called it Lagforge. Even then it was still a great city. They layout is simple and effective (hard to beat the "wheel" design). I love all the little hiding places tucked away in every corner, especially the "closed zone" Old Iornforge hidden behind that door in the throne room. I still spend as much time here as I do in Dalaran. Bar-none the best city Blizz has made. |
