Having broken free from the tyrannical rule of the Lich King, a renegade group of undead seek to retain their own free will while destroying all those who oppose them. Known as the Forsaken, this group is dedicated to serving their leader, the banshee queen Sylvanas Windrunner. These dark warriors have established a secret stronghold beneath the ruins of Lordaeron's former capital city. Situated deep beneath the cursed Tirisfal Glades, the labyrinthine Undercity is a sprawling bastion of evil. Within its shadowy confines, Sylvanas' royal apothecaries scramble to develop a devastating new plague - one which will not only eradicate their hated Scourge rivals, but the rest of humanity as well. To further their dark aims, the Forsaken have entered into an alliance of convenience with the primitive, brutish races of the Horde. Holding no real loyalty for their newfound comrades, the Forsaken have duped them into fighting against their common enemy - the Lich King. Only time will tell how these disciples of doom will fare in their mission of vengeance.
i like undead ALOT, but they gotta do something new with the player models, well i guess you could say that for all the classic races. maybe they'll do something in cata?
Only thing not like about them is that their spines and elbow-bones show through ALL of their armor, kind of cool at first, but annoying as hell when their epic gear looks all raggedy because of it.
im pro undead, great starter area, good set of lore based classes for the race, the whole "im obviously dead look but that dont bother me" thing....and the general story line and how all the bad crap already has happened to them, and everybody Still gets pissed when they kill everybody at warthgate, they are dead, people, killing others is what they generaly do, hell they even told you that in the whole opening monologe, it was their whole "kill everybody not dead" mantra.
I was going to roll Undead Rogue when i started playing, but my friends played alliance so i went with my standby of Dwarf Rogue.. They cater to my morbid side without going over the top. Just the right amount of decay and shady dealings. And the Undercity reminds me of Nightmare before Christmas for somereason, so cool points right there.
My favourite characters in table-top RPGs were always necromancers, so naturally I picked an undead mage to start my journey through Azeroth, he's my main to this day.
They should be tragic. Instead, they're a bunch of bitter nihilists whom the rest of the Horde can't entirely trust. And much like elves, they're kind of done to death.
Undead had the most OP racial ability in the game, but over time it has become the worst racial. it now shares a cd with your pvp trinket so its useless. and it no longer gives you immunity from fear/seduce for a couple seconds and instead just breaks one effect. :(
