I feel like this zone gets sold short compared to the Fjord. It's kind of a mish-mash, but fighting the Kvaldir is still one of my favorite things to do. And that quest where you get to wear a Murloc suit is pretty much as good as it gets.

While the zone falls short when compared to the Fjord as a starting area, it still provides quite a good introduction to the Northrend for the newcomers. It may be not great as a whole, but contains a number of little fun things that just make it worth your while.

I love the P.E.T.A. spoof, and the entire murloc questline. The cute little baby murlocs quest is just priceless. For that quest itself, I am giving the zone an Artifact rating.

I love Borean Tundra more than Howling Fjord as a starter area. As a horde player.

To me this zone just has the more lore and flavor then Howling. While Howling is fun, there is just more story to tell in Borean. I also like the mixture of snow and dirt and all the elements. It feels very earthy. I always enjoy leveling here.
