The only time I ever felt compelled to level in this zone is when I first came across it, largely because of the "outside" references everyone else seems to champion; however, to me the zone fails to deliver an enjoyable leveling experience. It's a little better now that those streams can't dismount you anymore, but I generally avoid the zone entirely while leveling alts.

Ungoro crater was always my lucky zone. It was the first time I'd critted for over 2000. It was the first time I got my hands on an epic item.

The references are definitely why this zone is made of win. I love easter eggs and this zone is built on them.
