Pretty enough, but reminds me of a combination of Stormwind and Silvermoon; I'm not too fond of either. The no-fly zone is also an annoyance. |

Very intuitive layout and interesting design. One of my two favorite Alliance capitals. |

Planescape actually pre-dates the Torment game. It was a tabletop D&D setting. And I agree that Shattrath was probably partly inspired by Sigil...however, Sigil would probably be nigh-on impossible to actually reasonably model in a MMO. |

Beats Dalaran hollow. Innovative design, intuitive layout. My only complaints with it are the former massive lag (since ameliorated by the introduction of Dalaran) and Aldor Rise (enough said). |

Easy enough to navigate; better layout than SW, if not as intuitive as IF. Needs flight paths that lead to the rest of Kalimdor. All of the glowy purple can get a bit monotonous. |

As previously stated, inconvenient for trolls and tauren. Decent layout; nice enough look, if you like your cities dark and spooky with fel-green ooze canals. And I won't miss the abominations at all. |

That's pretty much a given. He wasn't actually killed in the Sunwell Plateau, just kicked out of his latest portal to Azeroth.
And with that said: he's made out of Lawful Evil and manipulating bastard, and is generally a cool villain. |

He needs to do something in Cataclysm...not that that's likely, seeing how draenei have been getting treated like a failed experiment. And he needs to be an actual challenge for all of the Hordies shooting for "Putting Out The Light." |

With any luck, they'll change the creature type on helboars from "demon" to "beast" and add them to this family. (One can dream...) |

Five have appeared in-game.
Four are currently in use.
Three have been tamable.
Two are currently tamable.
This needs to change. |

Hopefully, darkhounds will have their monster type changed from "demon" to "beast" and be tamable as "wolves" in Cataclysm.
The "dire wolf" model should have its animations updated. It just kind of stands there. |

Voice emotes are obnoxious; animations are prissy. I'd pick one over a human, gnome, or Forsaken, but that's it. My Horde paladin will be race-changed to tauren in Cataclysm. |

Vaguely reminiscent of both tauren and trolls in appearance. I like tauren, and I like trolls, so draenei were the obvious choice for most of my Alliance alts. I think I'm probably the only person who actually somewhat prefers the male model; they seem somehow simultaneously ponderous and graceful.
People tend to like to gripe about their lore. Yes, there was a retcon. It wasn't nearly as huge as everyone seems to think, and the new story is better.
Need a stealth class. |

I don't get why there's so much hate for female dwarves; they're rather cute. (And while they're short and stocky, they look muscular.) But the jiggle physics bug me, and their hair has clipping issues.
The male dwarf model needs a revamp. Beards stick to chests, and they don't seem to have a lower jaw; also, all of the faces look more or less the same.
Their lore, their voice emotes, their attitudes, and their architecture are awesome. Can we get an update on Moira Bronzebeard? |

Too true. I think it's hurtage over the (minor) retcon. (Never mind that there's also a minor retcon behind orcs...and there will pretty much HAVE to be a string of minor retcons behind worgen.) |

The vast majority of my Horde characters are trolls; I'm looking forward to rolling my druid. They're lithe, agile, sassy, and seem to have wicked senses of humor. That said, the female model could use work.
I find it somewhat ironic that we have more lore about all of these hostile, xenophobic tribes than we do about the redoubtable Darkspear. |

It's because the Darkspears, for some half-arsed reason, have less lore than all of those hostile tribes that you kill in instances. |

They should be tragic. Instead, they're a bunch of bitter nihilists whom the rest of the Horde can't entirely trust. And much like elves, they're kind of done to death. |

They had potential. But as far as story goes, they've been sidelined. And the model quality, complexity aside, leaves a lot to be desired. (And that's just the males, who at least are cool-looking; the females could have been both savage and elegant, but instead fail horribly at both.) |
