My favorite type of realm. The PVP adds to the realism.

Most my toons are on a RP server (RP-PVP didn't exist back then) and it really feels odd (and not-RP) to be able to quest or farm unflagged next to other unflagged players of the opposite faction.

It be 20 sides dice :P And this seems the realm type is the one where you can get into the game the most.

Exactly, there are always enough d6s to go around, but someone always forgets their d20...

I Like RP realms, and I Like PVP Realms. But RPPVP realms just seem to give each faction an excuse to gate crash events in contested zones, and to just gank-fest anybody trying to level. Can definitely see why some like them though.

Really, RPPVP realms embody the way World of Warcraft should be. Roleplaying if you so choose, and the constant threat of being attacked by the opposite faction makes the feel closer to the source: WARcraft. And it really helps leveling characters develop their pvp skills.
